Run Free Website AuditEvery website runs on a server operated by someone: a shared hosting company, a cloud provider, a managed platform, or the site owner themselves. This tool works out who, using the same clues a systems engineer would check by hand. It reads the domain's DNS (IP addresses, aliases, name servers and mail servers), looks up the network owner of the server's IP address, and makes one real request to the site to read its HTTP response headers, which often name the software, CDN or platform in use.
You get the hosting provider, any CDN or firewall in front of it, the DNS provider, the email provider, the web server software, the server's country, response time and HTTPS status, along with a table of the exact evidence for each conclusion and a confidence rating. We are upfront about one hard limit: when a site uses a CDN or proxy such as Cloudflare, CloudFront or Akamai, its real hosting company is hidden on purpose, and the tool reports that instead of guessing. Results are measured from this server, so they can vary by visitor location.
Cloudflare and similar services sit between visitors and the real server, so the IP address belongs to them. Only the site owner, or someone with access to the DNS history, can tell where the origin is.
Not necessarily. Many sites use one company for the domain and DNS (for example a registrar or Cloudflare), another for the web server, and a third for email. The tool shows each separately.
Header, alias and platform matches are strong evidence. A match on network ownership alone is shown with Medium confidence, since resellers can run on another company's infrastructure.
